AAA Northwest MI 10 Information and Assistance Team

The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan (AAANM) helps caregivers make a loved one’s home safer through its free Information and Assistance (I&A) Team. For families worried about falls and hazards at home, the I&A Team is the central place to start finding help across the region.

I&A specialists assess each situation and connect families to home-safety supports — in-home services, home modifications, assistive technology, medical equipment, and care management — and to programs such as the MI Choice Medicaid Waiver where appropriate. AAANM also offers evidence-based wellness programs like A Matter of Balance, which directly addresses fall prevention.
