CareWell Services Southwest 3B Information and Assistance Team

CareWell Services Southwest is the Region 3B Area Agency on Aging serving Calhoun and Barry counties, and its Information and Assistance (I&A) Team is the free, central front door to its services — including assistive technology and durable medical equipment that help older adults and people with disabilities live independently. Its mission is to promote health, independence, and choice for seniors, people with disabilities, and caregivers.

I&A specialists, along with Options Counseling, assess each caller’s needs and connect them to the right programs: senior centers and nutrition, care management and transitions, hearing and vision services, the MI Choice Medicaid Waiver, SHIP Medicare counseling, elder-abuse prevention, and a free Durable Medical Equipment Closet offering loans or gifts of clean, recycled equipment. Caregivers can also access the Caregiver Resource Center, the free Trualta online support hub, dementia support, and respite care. One call can open the door to this full range of supports.
