ACCESS

Exhale: Caregiver Support Program at ACCESS brings caregivers together in a warm, welcoming environment twice a month. Caregivers connect with others facing similar challenges and gain access to professionals specializing in health, mental health, basic needs and other areas that address the unique challenges of caregiving.

Kinship Care Resource Center

The Michigan State University Kinship Care Resource Center hosts online support groups for kinship caregivers. This includes relatives or adults caring for children within their families or communities, such as grandparents, godparents, or foster parents. The center offers specialized sessions for grandparents, LGBTQIA+ caregivers, and foster parents, ensuring a supportive space for every unique family dynamic.

Hilarity for Charity (HFC)

HFC offers free, online support groups, aimed at assisting caregivers at any stage of an Alzheimer’s diagnosis journey, including the bereavement period.

Specialized sessions are available to address the distinct needs of chosen family caregivers, male caregivers, and Spanish-speaking caregivers.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

Be Our Guest Adult Day Service

Be Our Guest Adult Day Service (BOGADS) is a trusted resource for individuals and families facing dementia—including Alzheimer’s and related conditions like Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Disease—as well as other chronic health concerns.

To support caregivers, BOGADS also offers a virtual support group that meets twice each month.

Programs & Services - Tri County Area

Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) serves Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties and the cities of Lansing and East Lansing. Our mission is to promote and preserve the independence and dignity of the aging population with a variety of programs and services.

Caregiver Resources - Region IV AAA

Region IV Area Agency on Aging strives to provide quality programs and resources to not only older adults and people with disabilities, but caregivers as well. Caregivers come in all shapes and sizes. Some are caring for an aging parent or spouse, others care for adults with disabilities or their grandchildren. No matter the caregiver, we have a variety of resources available.

Community Living Program - Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph

This is a program provided directly by Region IIIC Area Agency on Aging. It fulfills clients’ wishes to remain in their own home by arranging in-home long-term care services when they are at risk or in need of nursing home placement.

 

Aging at Home Programs - Kalamazoo

The Area Agency on Aging Region 3A provides services directly, and through contracted providers to serve older adults and caregivers in Kalamazoo County. This includes home delivered meals, home repair, respite service, transportation assistance, medical equipment, and more! Services are funded by the Older Americans Act, State Funding, and the Kalamazoo County Senior Millage.
